General Terms & Conditions

Cancellation Policy
All bookings are considered guaranteed once confirmation email has been received. Changes and modifications can be made subject to room availability unless otherwise specified. All cancellations must be advised in writing via email to info@salayabeachhouses.com. A cancellation fee of USD25.00 will apply to all cancelled bookings. For details on refunds, please refer to our Refund Policy below.
Check-in/out times
Check-in time: 2pm Check-out time: 11am Early check-in or late check-out depends on room availability
Child & Extra Person
Child policy Children between the ages of 4-10 years are allowed by special request (subject to approval by resort owners) and must be supervised by an adult at all times. The resort does not accept overnight guests under the age of 4 years. Please note that our child policy does not apply to restaurant visitors. Unless authorized by management, children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the restaurant after 7 pm. This is to ensure enjoyment of dining by other guests. Extra person If, after confirmation of booking up until arrival, guests would like to include an additional guest in the booking, full details of that individual are required, including a formal identification document, and upon arrival this document must be available for inspection.
Day Tour & Day Room Bookings
Day Tour & Day Room Bookings are non-refundable. The booking date can be changed providing there is a minimum of 7 days notice and the new booking date is within 30 days of the original booking. A re-booking fee of 500 peso per person applies to all date changes. All date changes are subject to availability at the resort.
Diving
All guests who wish to partake in scuba diving activities, must hold the appropriate dive insurance. Policy numbers will be requested upon arrival. Dive/snorkelling sites are to be decided by Salaya Beach Houses. The management and its operators reserve the right to alter the itinerary, substitute a vehicle or cancel a tour due to unforeseen operational conditions. Any unutilized dive/snorkeling trips are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Insurance & Liability
We strongly recommend all guests take out appropriate travel insurance. Salaya Beach Houses accept no liability for losses incurred due to failure to connect with other services and cannot be held liable for loss of baggage or personal items, illness, injury or death resulting from activities in which are beyond our control. Salaya Beach Houses is not responsible for any change to stay or dive itineraries, cancellations or losses due to an Act of God or Force Majeure which includes earthquake, flood, typhoon, cyclone and other cataclysmic phenomena of nature, or all misfortunes and accidents which human prudence could not foresee or prevent.
Meals & Board Packages
Guests must inform Salaya Beach Houses of any special dietary requirements before arrival to ensure food stocks are available. The resort regularly caters for vegan, paleo, lactose and sugar free dietary requirements. Half Board Package Includes breakfast, and 2-course dinner, plus one juice, shake or soft-drink at each meal. Full Board Package Includes breakfast, 2-course lunch, afternoon tea including specialty coffee & cake of the day, 3-course dinner. One juice, shake or soft-drink is included at each meal. No refunds are given to non-utilized meals on half or full board packages. * Seafood platter, imported meats and specialty items may attract a supplement fee for full or half board packages.
Outside Visitors
Please note that the pool and other facilities throughout the resort are for the exclusive use of in-house guests, with the exception of the restaurant that is open to outside visitors when occupancy allows. Should you wish to have visitors at the resort, please check with Reception – a day guest charge may apply for use of facilities if occupancy allows. We maintain an in-house guest only policy from 11pm onwards. All guests being accommodated in the resort overnight must be registered at Reception.
Parking
Free private parking is possible on site however, pre-registration is required due to limited space.
Peak Season Blackout Dates
Unless you are advised in writing by resort management, special promotions and discounted packages are not available during the following peak periods: 20 Dec 2020 - 10 Jan 2021 Christmas & New Year, 27 Mar - 3 Apr 2021 Easter Holy Week, 20 Dec-10 Jan 2022 Christmas & New Year, 10-16 Apr 2020 Easter Holy Week, 1-7 Oct 2022, Golden Week, 20 Dec-10 Jan 2023 Christmas & New Year, 2-8 Apr 2023 Easter Holy Week, 1-7 Oct 2023 Golden Week, 20 Dec-10 Jan 2024 Christmas & New Year. A minimum booking of 3 nights also applies during these periods.
Pets

Pricing, Payment, Taxes
Payment policy Pre-booked accommodation is to be paid in US Dollars, unless by prior agreement. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due within 10 days from the date of booking. Remaining balance is due 90 days prior to check-in date. For bookings made within 90 days of check-in, full payment is required within 10 days of booking. Your reservation will not be confirmed until you have received a confirmation email of your first payment Payments are to be in USD, unless by prior agreement. Credit card payments are accepted from MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We also accept Wire Transfers. Bank fees on either end to be paid by guest. Please email for wire transfer information Rates that are quoted in US Dollars must be paid in US Dollars or an exchange rate that is set by the resort. Prices quoted are valid for the period noted on your quotation. If not noted, the quote is valid for 30 days. Prices for services within the resort including food and beverages are subject to change without notice.
Refund Policy
Refunds will be provided in accordance with the following cancellation policy: We are unable to block spaces indefinitely without the security of timely payments. As such, in certain circumstances, in the event payments are not settled by the payment due date (as outlined above), we retain the right to amend / cancel a reservation, without refund. Guest refunds: - No refund for initial 25% deposit. - No refund for cancellations less than 30 days before date of arrival - Half of your 75% final payment will be refunded 60 to 30 days before date of arrival - 100% of your 75% final payment for cancellations between 60 or more before date of arrival A cancellation fee of USD25.00 will apply to all cancelled bookings. Any bank fees (including other transfer modes such as PayPal) for the receipt and refund of monies relating to a cancelled booking will be deducted from the refund amount.
Room Capacity
Max occupancy is maximum 2 guests per 1-bedroom apartment, and 4 guests per 2-bedroom apartment. The maximum number of single extra beds allowed in an apartment is one, or two per penthouse. Fees apply for additional beds.
Sanctuary Fees
Sanctuary Fees are regulated by the local municipality, and are applicable to all dives. These fees are included in our dive prices.
Security
The resort has 24/7 security guards, and operates CCTV. We understand that some VIP guests may wish to bring their own security personnel. If this is the case, prior approval must be obtained in writing from resort management (please discuss your request with us at the time of making your reservation). Guests arriving with additional persons in their party (over and above what is stated on the booking), may be turned away if prior approval has not been obtained.
Smoking
All buildings within the resort are strictly non-smoking, including e-cigarettes. Should you wish to smoke, please ask the staff for an ashtray, and smoke outdoors, ensuring that any adjacent doors to your room are closed so that smoke does not infiltrate the rooms. A cleaning fee of USD 400 will be charged at check-out to rooms with cigarette odour.
Transfers
If a guest avails of our transfer option, it is the responsibility of the guest to provide details of their travel arrangements. If your travel details change and you do not inform us, or are incorrect, Salaya Beach Houses accepts no responsibility and no refund will be provided.
COVID Travel Requirements
Travel Requirements in the Philippines are set down by the IATF, Provincial and Local Governments. It is the responsibility of guests to ensure that they check and comply with current travel requirements when visiting Salaya Beach Houses. The resort does not accept responsibility for cancelled bookings or inability to avail a booking if guests are unable to arrive at the resort. For this reason, guests are encouraged to take out their own travel insurance.
